Well guys, I've been checking UPS and my LG5 is getting close.
Unfortunately, it is on a different continent.
I'm emigrating to Australia on 14th September, a decision I made after I put my order in. So, I had Jimmy ship it out to a friend in Perth, where I will be living.
Still, will be great to arrive in Australia knowing my new bass is waiting for me. I'll have to pack the Pandoras' box in my suitcase.
Unfortunately, it is on a different continent.

I have never had a 5 that does the vintage jazz thing even remotely close to as good as this bass does...
She plays like a dream and his this feel as if I have been gigging with her for 20 years...

A little bit of advice. I have a spare set of chrome Ernie Ball strap locks. Will they look okay on a 3TS LG5 or should I go with something else?

Wow!! Congrats! That's a beautiful instrument. The 3TB and Dalbergia work incredibly well together.

Well, I just did modification #1 on my bass - I added a set of Dunlop straplocks - everything else is perfect!!!!

Just got home from rehearsal and the bass absolutely killed...
Pure clean vintage tone with blossoming lows meaty punchy mids and crisp highs..
She absolutely blew my expectations out of the water and one of the most inspiring 5 string I have owned....
Only one issue I had was the bridge saddle on the E string lowered half way thru rehearsal I am guess from vibration ..Does anybody know of this issue with the bent plate bridge saddle screws moving and have a fix??

Hey Jonno,
Glad to see the bass is working out for you. Sorry to hear about the bridge. As a temporary fix (after you adjust the saddle hieght to your liking) apply a small amount of lock tight to the saddle height screw. In the meantime I will contact my machinist and pester him for a replacement saddle for you as currently I am out of stock of the proprietary bridge.

Dont forget there are different types of Loctite with different strengths..
I used the PURPLE Loctite on my Bent Plate.. So i can makes changes when needed without too much of a hassle.
I have even used bees wax on the threads at times and it worked great for years.
Fom WIKI on LOCTITE
Loctite's threadlocker products come in different strength grades, to suit the particular application.
Blue Removable No. 242, 243, 246, 248, 2432 & 2440 - Used for things you may want to unscrew with minimal hassle. It cures into a brittle, glassy bond that takes one good twist to break, but removes cleanly after that. Recommended for use with valve covers, water pumps and oil pan bolts.
Red High-Strength No. 271, 262, 266, 268, 272, 277 & 2760 - Used on things that you don't want to take apart for a long time. It requires heat from a torch or iron (to 250° C) to loosen its grip. It cures into a thicker, sticky bond that holds up better against vibration and shocks. It is typically used in mechanical applications such as nuts and bolts in cars, motorbikes, snowmobiles, and watercraft.
Green - penetrating grade No. 220(blue), 290 & 294 - Used for parts that have already been assembled. Green No. 290 is commonly used to bond a bearing to a shaft. Due to its low viscosity, capillary action wicks the solution between the shaft and the inner race of the bearing.
Purple - low strength grade No. 222MS & 222 - Used for set screws.
For Plastic threads - No. 425. - Used for small plastic threads.
