That looks pretty cool to me. It's certainly not a normal paint job but it looks like allot of fun!

This is a fantastic bass. The colour wasn't too my liking initially but in the flesh it oozes class and plays and sounds like a dream!!!

It is. Jimmy had this one at the NAMM show. It's unique if anything. It's an acquired taste I'm sure. But very memorable. Congrats on a one-of-a-kind bass that is no doubt a world class player!
There's a nice looking tricked out Nitro/Dalbergia LG on Brian's Low End Bass site for sale for a pretty good price given the upgrades.
FYI.
)Ken, thanks for the tip! I just called Brian at Low End and it's headed my way...
funny story is that is was being held for a trade and the guy never sent in his trade bass, so Brian released it for sale once again. Lovely looking instrument that will be eagerly awaited over here!
Even funnier story: After pinging a bunch of folks and having a few near misses on other used AC's, I just decided to call Jimmy up and put an order in for an LG5 TTSB with Brazilian Board. We spec'ed the entire instrument and then, the very next day, Brian calls and says the one on Low End was open again!
Alas, my deposit was in and I was "in progress" with Jimmy on nearly the same style bass. Not wanting to reneg on Jimmy and looking to add some versatility to the quiver, I have asked Jimmy to change the order to an LM5 Deluxe with Maple Board and Black Blocks w/Binding and, of course, Ash Body. This way I'll have the 70's thing and the 60's deal covered in spades...
I am thinking Ice Blue with matching headstock for the LM5... I have asked for Poly on this one, still on the fence and may go back to a Nitro (not sure)
Needless to say, I'm broke and will have to put my Jerzy Drozd Mastery 5 up for sale... Still its an AC Bonanza over here...
[Best,
Mike
