You sure post a lot of someone who is "done with TB".
This thread has been taken over with a lot of MIDWESTERN LOVE......
How about some of us NY METRO area guys put together a nice little AC hang after the new year? I'd be happy to have it by me out on Long Island if there are not to many of us. If we've got more then a handful maybe someone has a suitable location to get together....
I may be on LI the middle of January but pre namm show.... still up in the air... i will keep my eye here to see what happens though.
Actually, as I understand it, the bass never belonged to Jason. He spec'd it out, which is probably what you're thinking of, but as far as I know, he never actually took delivery due to some changes in circumstances, so it became generally available as another stock bass.OK, nevermind...right after I posted, Jimmy got back to me and he has updated the 'in stock' part of the website. Looks like the bass he was telling me about is the Big Redd!
Now having parused through this thread, I think it would be safe to assume that the bass formerly belonged to BigReddBass, which also makes sense as Jimmy told me it belonged to a friend who was playing a B'way show!
Not sure if you are around BigRedd, but I would love to know a little more about the instrument. I am really into that bass man.
It just says "bigg redd".Fair enough! As I look back at the emails, Jimmy never did say that Jason actually owned it, but that he traded it in.
At any rate, it is damn good looking, and I gotta figure out what the custom inlay work is on the 12th fret, not really visible on the stock photo. Thanks for the info.
Jonno1707?
Gilsonite?
Are you guys up for it? Anyone else local?
It just says "bigredd".
I need to correct my previous post... it's two g's too. bigg redd.Haha. Yup, that it does, which makes perfect sense.

Here is the page in the last thread where Jason posted it.
Haha. Yup, that it does, which makes perfect sense.
You will love that bass, my incoming LM5 is pretty much a metallic black version of it. It's the first A-C I ever played and was so blown away I wanted "my" version of it.
I understand your concern with the inlay, but think of it as the bass' name and not as a reference to Jason. The finish is ridiculous in person - CAR fading to Trans Red in the middle. I wanted mine this way too but that finish is EXPENSIVE!
Yep I am down just gotta plan around my crazy schedule...
Let's see when Kirk sets his dates to be in town and see if we can get Gil involved. If it's just the 4 of us we can certainly get together by me. On the other hand I could always get Kirk in my car and hit the GW to get closer to you and Gil..Either way...
