I think that's not CAO, it looks looks non-metallic, I believe the RA next to it is CAO

yeah the RA was CAO.. the one to the right is a fiesta... like the pino custom shop fender...

Nice spread of basses. Not a whole lot floats my boat this year. However, that natural LM5 (I assume) that Barney was playing looks killer, as does that Olympic White P bass.

The short scales... hmmm.... interesting I guess.

That's actually an RA, and it's sold, has a custom neck profile, and TOTALLY KILLS.

Well like every good artist that's brave enough to really change,Jimmy will isolate himself from a percentage of his fan base.

You can see the thought here,, a couple of each model presented in groups.The like color themes are grouped together.

I can see he tries to find fender themes that haven't been done by his peers. I mean I've never seen a wine red boutique jazz before. Last year it was antiqua. Micro tilt ,,,Bullet truss. Walnut!

I say bravo!! There might be solid demand reasoning for why the competition hasn't done some of these themes.Then again someone has to test the waters.

+1 As long as he keeps building the good stuff, he can show a poodle pink P Bass with bubinga inlays and a three piece neck with an ebony board for all I care

+1 I think our buddy Narud brow beat him into that decision I'll stick to my 9 pounders myself! Nice to have the choice though!

That oly/tort RA5 (I'm assuming that's what it is because of the maple board with black blocks) looks killer! Jimmy consistently has some of the best looking oly/tort basses.

So there is a stacked knob jazz bass in those pictures and some with a traditional control plate. Are those all passive basses?

What the deal with the two basses with white pickups are those a different model?

I'm not sure where he's going with the short scale basses, not my thing...

Is Jimmy not making guitars anymore?
