My friend Sean did me a solid @ the show today and took some pic's of my fretless...
I CAN'T WAIT TO GET THIS BASS

That is a beauty. Kind of like Vic's LG in fretless version. Very nice! I bet that will just sing!

If I was 'king of the luthier world' and all powerful, I would decree the following:
1) No bass will be made, for any reason, by any luthier, without the Music Man/Sadowsky truss rod adjustment wheel design
2) No bass (edit: with an on-board preamp) will be made, for any reason, by any luthier, that does not have some sort of separate, easy access, battery compartment.
3) No bass will be made, for any reason, by any luthier, that does not ship with Duncan dual action straplocks.
So let it be written, so let it be done![]()

I talked to my dad today and he said Jimmy had 2 short-scale basses there. Either one or both were a single pickup design and he said they were his favorite thing at the show. He's a guit#^$ so thats saying something.
True, except what's even more custom on this one, is he started with his standard C profile and simply flattened out the back, so it's a really "fast" D profile. Not traditional at all, but very cool!I believe a D profile (as opposed to a C wich is classic Jazz four string) is thicker shoulders and a flatter back. Like a 70's sting ray.
Not to be confused with A<B<C<D width letters.

I want to be able to shut off the preamp without unplugging the cable.
So no battery drain if I leave it plugged in
