ok...that one hurt....

and I dont hurt easily.

Is this beauty for sale ?? Love this bass.

Me too!

:bawl:

The second greatest I ever played! My new one edges it in weight and the Dalbergia on the new one seems to be better a bit more responsive (if that is possible). Something about the way the new one is voiced to. I used it in a rehearsal Tuesday night with my Neve 8801/IP 310 rig and it just killed! Everybody in the band made a comment on how great it sounded. Then I played it with a different band rehearsal on in ears Wednesday and it killed again. REALLY sweet sounding and full across the fretboard. The new bass seems a bit more even top to bottom and across the strings than any other bass I have ever played. My LG5 was like this and until I got this one I felt the the LG5 was the most even, this one actually tops it and I found myself playing higher register notes with NO effort at all. It is just the sh*t as far as I am concerned. I talked to Jimmy about making me a P bass but I left him a message yesterday and told him to make me 5 string JUST LIKE THIS ONE and I am done! I have a Sadowsky P that is the best P I have ever played and I now have the best "Vintage J" I have ever played. I can see myself with a Maple boarded fancy topped Sadowsky (The Caramel Burst/Birdseye 4 I keep dreaming about!!!) and a NYC Vintage 5 in a Fancy top Ash Body with a Brazillian board for a bit more Modern 5 string sound and I could be D O N E! (I know but let me at LEAST think this way for now...) I have seen a couple on the Sadowsky instock page over the last couple of updates that I nearly jumped on....

:hiding:

I think Roger and Jimmy are both GREAT builders doing a different take on the same principle and are both at the pinnacle of what they are doing! It is a fabulous time to be a bass player right now!

You got kinda quiet Vic...breathe buddy, little breaths....little breaths!

:D

Come on dude, tell us what you think now....

Peace,

T

Why the tears?

Just savin' up for the weekend. :)

I love the new one but that one is a beauty too! I love that bass as well! I wish I still had her! Then I would have 2 great ones! The finish on that one was done by the guy that sprayed Nitro for Fender for over 50 years and to me is probably the best Nitro finish I have ever seen on any bass! It is definitely better than the one on the new one I have. Much more "Vintage" looking to me. The new one looks great but it looks more like a modern finish. I am sure Andrew will agree that the finish on the one he has is just incredible in person. Andrew you are one lucky cat to have those 2 bro! Call me if you decide the White one is not your speed...PLEASE!

Peace,

T

When is/are your gigs Vic? Friday night? Gonna use the AC at church too? ...and aren't you getting the LM5 on Friday? Can't wait to see that one too. You're having way too much fun! I wanna be just like you when I grow up! :D
Woah, slow down, breathe, breathe... ;) :D

The LM comes tomorrow, the main gig is tomorrow night, the small ensemble worship is Sunday morning, and rehearsal with the larger worship group, using the full Aviom in-ear system is Sunday night. It'll be a busy weekend. :)

Not in the 'club' but I sure do like your basses guys. Might try one sometime. I've never had a vintage Fender so I guess I don't know what I'm missing with that vibe. I played guitar for 27 years before switching over to the right instrument about 17 years ago so I'm just a novice really. shrug.
