Club Alleva Coppolo (Part IV)

Well, my head finally stopped pounding and I finally got to plug in this beauty (thanks for the pics, Vic.).

First of all, thanks to Vic for all of the info and feedback...all priceless info as I look for a new rig. Not to mention the fact that he took care of this baby better than I would have. It came back perfect, not a mark on it, and he did the best packing job I've seen on a bass.

This bass is all that. Props to Jimmy for his good work. I'm so glad I listened to you guys (Thanks, tommixx!) and went down to pay Jimmy a visit. One of the best moves of my bass playing career.

The tone is rich, fat, creamy, articulate, smooth, even across all strings...not too much to dislike about this bass. I took it to a local music shop where one of my friends works and he flipped over the finish work on the bass. He plugged it in for just a couple of seconds and had to run to get the phone but the look on his face when he plucked that open E string was priceless. He looked at me something like..."You son of a *****". I sat and played it through an SWR Workingman 15/210 stack and it sounded great. I had other players walking through asking me about the bass and telling me the tone sounded phenomenal.

Sorry to brag but this thing is awesome. Just sorry I haven't found it sooner. Now for that LM5....and RA5....and KBP5....damn. Wish I wasn't broke.

No problem! I actually even felt bad for taking the plastic off the pickguard and back cover, but I had to for some other pics I had to take. :)

WOW....I almost bought that bass before I told you about her. She is a beauty! I know exactly what you mean. I talked to Jimmy yesterday. He was holding a 4 string Dalbergia board for me (the LAST one he had) and had someone who wanted it. I told him that I just don't need another vintage styled 4 string....period! I have a Sadowsky P that just has "IT" so I have my P covered. He is making me a 5 string twin of the 3TS I have now I may even replace the 3TS 4 with the 3TS LG 5 because I don't know if I want to take them both out on tour next year or not. I am considering just taking the LG 5 and I don't want to leave the Standard 4 sitting in storage for 5 years (the length of the tour commitment) I don't know what I am going to do yet. I will be out about 300 days per year for at least 5 years....who knows! I have some time to think about it. Congrats on a killer bass!

Congrats to Andrew for getting the last 4 string Dalbergia board that Jimmy has! If you guys want a Dalbergia you better jump, the 4's are gone and the 5's are few! I have one in the works so I don't know exactly how many are left but it is not many at all!!!!!
