The lighting isn't the best but I couldn't resist:

Here are a couple pics of my LG5 at rehearsal. Still iPhone pics but the true color of the bass is represented much more accurately here. Love this bass!!

Hey Bernie...
I really love your bass too! I almost copied your bass when
I ordered my 2nd A-C. It was a toss-up between your
Ice Blue LG-5 and George's Ice Blue RA-5. I ended up going
with the RA-5. That actually made the difference between
a May 2009 delivery date and a November 2008 delivery.
I didn't know Jimmy had already started a RA-5 for Bass
Player Live until after he got my deposit so it worked out
pretty good.:D

BTW... where is your guitar stand??:)

Dan

Sean is correct with his answers..
I swapped my LPB with Jimmy for the Inca Silver LG5..
The LPB LG was originally with a RW board with matching LPB headstock. Then jimmy used me sort of as the guinea pig since i requested a maple neck for personal reasons. And what better person to try it out on but me.. hahah.. I am his nighmare when it comes to being picky..:) Sohe made me an incredible maple neck with Block inlays and binding.. I think the bass current player forShemekia Copeland
has her now but Jimmy would know for sure.

Okay the black KPB5 I knew about - sweet bass, and caused me to order a KPB5 too. But the blue one? What the heck is that? Were we notified? :eyebrow: Just how many of these things do you have? Huh? Maybe you should be nominated International Man Of Mystery 'cuz you have the "Mojo" ;)

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to post up some good news to the club since I really feel that most of us have gotten to know each other over the last year. So, I've been waiting for a month after sending in my audition video to University of North Texas' Jazz Studies Dept. and the letter came yesterday. I got in. :) I used LG5 #74 on the electric selection of the audition and it served me well. GI Bill and college, I'm stoked!

The second bit of good news is the army band I work for just got in the mini rig I ordered. Markbass LMII and Epifani UL112! I can't wait to bring in the LG5 today and bathe myself in transparent AC tone. MMMmmmm. Your Tax Dollars At Work!!

A very happy Matt

Congrats Matt that is GREAT news! I really enjoyed your
video.

Hey everybody, Jason Langley stopped by the shop today with his Alleva-Coppolo's for a tune up. He also reaquainted (& reaquired) himself with his old walnut top limited 5 that we affectionatley refer to as "The Heart Breaker". I took a picture of his collection in front of the (new California) shop. If you look close enough you will see Ceasar (my dog) standing guard at the front door. From left ot right we have BIGG REDD TOO (RA5), The Heart Breaker (Limited figured walnut top), and BIGG REDD (the first LG5). Enjoy!
Jimmy

"The Heart Breaker" is definitely a special bass. Nice warm, punchy tone. BEAUTIFUL top!!

Every time I see blocks, binding, and a matching headstock I start to lust after a replacement neck for my LG5. I know it wouldn't be "period appropriate" on an LG5, but Aged Oly White with white accents looks so great, and I love my honduran RW board too much to swap it out!

Jason, you've got a great stable of ACs, and they sound tasty on your myspace.

+1 The blocks and binding look is really growing on me. Wonderful looking bass!

I got my Oly White LG-5 back with a new setup yesterday and it sounds absolutely beautiful. But these photos are getting me aroused. That ice blue A-C with blocks and binding: oo la la. And, although I'm not generally a fan of fancy wood tops, I see why they call it The Heartbreaker. One of each, please.

Thanks, Kirk! I really like the bent plate bridge too. Aside from any sonic benefits, I really think it fits the vibe of the bass aesthetically.

Thanks, Dan! Either way you went, you would've been golden! George's Ice Blue RA-5 is hot. I've looked at the pics of his many times when I was waiting for mine.

And about the stand, somehow I ended up forgetting it at home! But it worked out for getting a couple cool pics.

Thanks, Ken! I really love the bass.

Bernie, I love that color combo with the blocks and binding!! Killer axe my friend!

Thanks, Junior! Jimmy really rocked out the blocks and binding.

Thanks, Steve! It's just one of many, many nice A-C's on TB. And more to come!

A big THANK YOU, once again, to all of the guys on here that have been so gracious and helpful along the way with the Alleva information and pics. You guys have all been great and made this all so much easier. We have the best AC info around!

Jimmy you make a wonderful instrument!
