I have a bass that may be done sooner than I anticipated so have to free up the funds.
If that's what you really want, make it happen.....someone will end up with that beautiful bass, you'll have your Garrison, and everyone will be happy.....
Thanks, Ace. The Fodera is ultimately what I need and what I want. I know whoever ends up with this bass will absolutely love it. A great price on a like-new Dalbergia KBP5 with that incredible nitro 3TB.
Hey Vic! Thanks for the attempt here. You sure can hear my voice better, but at least on my playback system, most of the subtle tone of the basses has been eliminated (it sounds like you added some compression or whatever on the bass parts).
I would recommend sticking with my original clip if you want to hear what these basses really sound like (at least what they sound like with relatively new ss strings through a reasonably transparent rig).

Sorry, didn't notice that, and no, I didn't process it at all. All I did was select your voice areas and crank the amplitude. Sounds to me like something bad happened as my mp3 encoder "re"encoded it when I was done. Selected the exact same bit rate and everything. Oh well.
Maybe use both... listen to mine and write down what each part is, and then listen to Ken's for the tone. Or, ignore mine.

Good question. I was trying to figure out these questions too and posted the following awhile ago. I think it is accurate; at least no one has told me otherwise yet.
According to this, the answer to your question would be yes.
As Tom notes above the answer is yes...I have a Standard 4 now that is headed off to AJ BRown on Monday so I can get my LG5 needs taken care of. Mine is THE SINGLE GREATEST 4 stringed bass I have ever had my hands on....PERIOD! I wish there was a way I could keep it but I am only playing 5s now and it doesn't make any sense to let it just sit here at home. The sound and feel is just like a Vintage Fender and it is hands down the finest feeling and playing bass I have ever had. If you want a real Vintage feeling and sounding bass you can not get any better in my opinion.

Do you have the 3-Tone Sunburst Nitro Finished Standard 4? I think I saw that in another thread. That bass is simply beautiful. The nitro finish really nails that pre-CBS Fender vibe, paired with the tortoise pickguard, and the dark rosewood fingerboard. What a bass, one can only dream...
I am surprised that there aren't many Standard 4s posted around here.
I have only seen a handful in all six of the Alleva Coppolo Club threads. I suppose it is because you guys want that vintage Fender vibe in 5 strings.
