$1900:eek: ? I wonder if it's an LM or LS. Sounds like a good deal to anyone looking for a bit of instant gratification. Not sure exactly what "player's condition" means... Probably a good idea for someone to snatch this up quick.... no passive tone control, though....... could be a deal breaker for some...

I'm currently snatching. . . I live a couple of hours from Brian so we're in the midst of working it out. I'm hoping it's an LM because I'm not wild about swamp ash. He said it's medium weight so I'd expect (given that Ken's LM is in the 8.5 lb range) that this is medium northern, i.e. an LM.

In any case, I'm going to talk to Jimmy about it tomorrow and find out - LM or LS. If it is an LS this will at least give me the opportunity to try one of his basses out, at which point I'll probably sell here or trade in for an LM. I'm on the verge of ordering an LG also. . . :rollno:

By the way, according to Brian the nitro has chipped away in a few places on the side, hence the "player's condition" designation.

Nice move, Gruuv! I know you were G.A.S.'n for one since the beginning of Ken's A-C thread. Seems like a great deal either way (if it's an LM or LS) considering that I NEVER really see a used one for sale and the new one start at three grand , and that's BEFORE the nitro finish. It'll save you 4 or 5 months of anitcipation as far as waiting for a new one with similar specs. Also, when you talk to Jimmy, ask about the possibilty of adding the passive tone control (you're probably gonna want it). If it's an LS and you're not feeling it, sell it here. I pretty much guarantee it won't last long........

What colour is that one on the right? I think someone said it was seafoam green, but the SFG looks alot darker on the AC website? It is pretty much the most beautiful jazz I have ever seen, and I will be as of now manifesting one to be in my hands... :cool:

I took that pic at NAMM and the lighting was bad... it was at the end of the day when they where forcing everyone out and the lights were out..
The bass on the left is Paul Turners 1st one and the seafoam green is keith duffys.. here is a better pic of the green one..

Medium weight is not 8.5 pounds. Sorry. My LM5 is considered his medium weight and on my home scale its 10 pounds. My Sadowsky is 8 pounds again on my home scale. Still confortable for me. Keep in mind if all things equal a 8 pound and a 10 pound bass will sound different. Im not saying better or worse, Just different. I feel alot of bassist are looking for the bass with the least weight. Thats all fine but if you are interested in one of the Alleva~Coppolo basses i would check with Jimmy and ask what are some of the tone differences along with the choices of woods. He has customers asking for heavier basses beyond the 10 pounder i have.
Gruuv I hope whatever A~C you pick will be the bass you truly want.
