Jimmy's whole thing seems to be a love of the original 'vintage' design. If you are looking for 'reverse P's, P/J, etc., that's not really what these basses are about. There are plenty of great 'modern' options for that kind of deal.... Sadowsky, Lull, Nordy, etc.
Jimmy won't even do dual action straplocks, or modern truss rods (wheel or hex adjustment)... it's just not what he is trying to do.
I really like that 'back to the old school' sort of deal that he has going on, and I can understand that he doesn't really want to start doing the 'modifications' on the design. IMO and from a brief discussion with him on his approach around the time I bought mine.
