Oh WOW!! That is gorgeous!! I LOVE that guard...I hope the one on my current build (I had to break down and get Jimmy to build me the ULTIMATE 60's Fender 4 so we are going ahead with the Burst/Dalbergia Bass!! I am stoked! Congrats on a real beauty!

Being Blessed with so many choices, my go to bass is My A-C5 its got exactly everything you could ask for and then some :cool:

...ummm...ok...now THIS is one of the nicer collections I've seen here in a long time.

I wonder if you could answer a few questions that come to mind for me;

How does the AC compare with the ash/maple UV70 Sadowsky tone -wise?

Same question for the Nordie .

Good question, but... this can be a subjective answer, The UV70 nails the 70's slap tone and are a bit more aggressive in the finger style tone, the A-C covers all of these tone just a bit more sublime, warmer yet still with an aggressive edge... The Nordy to me has a more of a vibrant modern tone, Great live on stage, but too alive by itself or in my home studio.:hyper: The A-C does it all with no hassle :cool:

Your collection covers damn near everything! Very nice indeed, and it seems like you're a big maple/70s pup fan...
Although, I'm a little hurt that you haven't invested in a solid P or Stingray!
That orange Nordy is enviable!

I have a somewhat similar collection (beautiful, but the way!), and like you, I have a hard time taking anything other than the A-C out on my gigs at the moment. The weight, the feel, and obviously the tone are unique... a true 'top of the line vintage Fender tone' in a lightweight 5 string with subtle on-board EQing capability. Pretty darn cool!

It doesn't do the unique 'modern J vibe' of my Sadowsky RV5, or the uber J on steroids thing of my Celinder Update, but it just sits right where it should sit in the mix IME, and sounds good across such a wide variety of playing contexts. The mid punch of these basses, and the upper mid growl is just wonderful to my ear.
