I had the pleasure of attending Kirks' B-day party. Not only does Jimmy make a great bass, he can throw a hell of a party. The company and conversation was incredible. We even had a celebrity janitor!

Man the margaritas were potent.. Yes i did not know the girl that lost her cookies at Jimmys house.. Poor Jimmy had to play janitor....Hugh if you read this , you were a good sport in helping Jimmy!
I would have lost my cookies if i had helped.... but i tried....
Jimmy threw a hell of a party.. lot sof pretty girls and some celebrities..I think there is going to be an Alleva Coppolo party at NAMM for Alleva owners.. I will try to find out more as the time get closer.. I thought that my LG5 would be done tomorrow bt it is running a few days late coming from paint.. so maybe next week. .He will ship it to me instead of me having to take it on the plane..

You are one of the most genuine individuals on TalkBass, and I believe you are the type who only gets better with age! 50 is a great achievement as a talented musician, and I congratulate you on your new AC's and moving back to New York...I'm sure you will find it more gratifying than Texas...(even though I am headed to UNT next year for my masters!). LOL.

Here is pic of Jimmy and me working on the KBP5 the other day.. we were getting the exact vintage P placement....It should be ready in a month or so.. We also have to do a custom Pickguard
Now that is a cool pic, Kirk! It really is. It shows you in admiration of Jimmy's work and you guys are working together to produce something special.

Thank you Bernie. .It was a long day. .and Jimmys girlfriend Sebnem took the pic.. I was haggered. I hope it sounds good when its done.... really... it better...
Jimmy is really meticulous.. And at that point i was just watching him trace the placement after we tried a few on a dummy.... then more measuring .... i found it really facinating... he pulle dthe neck off of my LG5 Lake Placid Blue that i gave back to him.. Its agreat bass but i wanted something new... So my old LG is there.. it looks like a relic though.. hahha
I am heading home tomorrow.. then maybe back here NYC for good.. it depends on a few things in Austin when i get there... The newly ex wife has been acting nice. i have no idea what she is up to.. haha... if she chills maybe her and i will move back to NY.. ohh the stress of normal life...LOL

I talked with jimmy about a reverse P.. he does not want to do it at this time... maybe if you email him about that... i know because some guys like that rev P...
