That was kind of the point I was making with TOMMIX, that the LM version is much warmer, fatter, and more organic than even the RW/Alder Sadowsky's... so that maybe he shouldn't go 'all the way' to the LG, since the LM's are so vintage and warm. However, I had forgotten that he wasn't really digging the modern vibe of the Sadowsky basses.

I'm with you, the LM seems to be, for me anyway, the perfect 'vintage but still punchy and growly' sort of vibe that I was looking for!!!

I know K but its a way of getting you to write more post about the A-C basses. You and Kirk are the A-C Guru's.:D

Since this is the Alleva Coppolo Club, here's mine again!

This is a FANTASTIC bass - getting a LOT more playing time than my Sadowsky 5-24. Sorry about the crappy pics!

Hi Tim,, I was talking with jimmy tonight and he said that new Sunburst KBP4 sold already... wow... it just.. went up there yesterday..
My KBP4 is about 3 years old now.. and it has some dings in it.. I think it is the only SONIC blue one so far.. There have been a few Sonic blue Jazz basses and LG but so far I have the only P.Mine has the original headstock which is slightly smaller with hipshot ultralights... The current ones have a slightly larger headstock (about 1/8") like you see in the latest photos and custom full size 66 style lollipop tuners... I hope nobody copies the 66 lollipop tuners that he has copied for fender.. I think they add a nice finishing touch to his basses...but i have the old style clover leaf tuners on mine.

bass...

I only heard your P Bass of Jimmys so far. But your P is so amazing. I told you many times its the best P I ever heard.
The dings give it character. But you know you just have to breath on a nitro and paint comes off. Well not exactly but you know what I mean. Me personally I don't hear a meaninful difference in tone. Jimmys basses are great if you have finger paints on it. To me its cosmetic. The sound is what matters to me. But I can see the excitement over nitro. But if the wood is good and the pu are good the bass will sound good. But I do like the way nitro wears. You know i have the Poly and it still shines.
And by the way. You and Kjung have great post and threads for the Alleva Coppolo.
