I'm really happy to announce that my LG5 is approaching completion. Jimmy dropped me an email last week to say that the body was back from paint and that he was working on fretting the neck.
I'll have a review and pics up as soon as possible. I'm guessing it will be about 2 weeks. Hopefully, I'll have an apartment by then so I have a shipping address!
Congrats! Looking forward to the review. Also, I'd like to know what strings you end up going with.......
Hey Tommixx: You are officially Culb Alleva Coppolo Member #4.
Thanks,

That is something that I meant to ask Jimmy, what are the string choices? I am not a Stainless fan at all now...
Peace,
T
I know Jimmy likes the Zon strings. I am trying to find out who makes them for him (Zon). I am in a search for the ultimate strings - aren't we all - But the Zons do sound good on the A-C. I may go back to them. They have a real sweet fat lower end to them. I tried the Hi Beams with a 125 (3 sets). Like them too. But I have a pair of Low riders with 130 that Im iching to try real soon. Like today. I would like also try the Fodera's. Being its new I will try alot of them till i find the perfect match. To my ears the Zons had a nice tone to it.
But no matter what set I put on the neck is very stable. Another great part of the Alleva Coppolo's.

Jimmy is coming out with a special custom string sets soon... He uses a few select brands right now for the basses that he ships.. Depending on what people request.
But he will be coming out with his formulated Nickles, Stainless, flats, and Acoustic or electric guitar string .. I think he said about a month or so.. maybe by bass player live..

Alright!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very excited about his new strings.
