Took the time from his busy schedule to take these! Can't say enough great things about him! A couple of more weeks till shes ready!

NICE!!!! It will be fun to read all the reviews and impressions of these basses as Jimmy starts cranking more out!

yeah.. thats my baby.... its get way more action that any of the others...the past 5 years i have really come to love what a p can do.. they are more than a one trick pony.. maybe 2-3 tricks... but boy those tricks are good..

i'll send him a mail but i was wondering too what you guys think of the b-strings... i really love mine on my 55-94 Lakland.. whow would you guys compare this?

would Jimmy consider making 35" scale bass?

There's a thread going on about the merits of 35" scale basses. I love the B's on both my 34" Sadowsky and Alleva. Both of these basses are designed (similar to the Lakland) with VERY stiff necks. I wouldn't really worry about the scale length.

However, obviously, a vintage oriented, single coil bass is going to sound very different from the modern, humbucker 55-94, so in that way, the B will differer... from very large and big on the 55-94 (IME) to more of an extension of the E string, which I prefer.

Regarding the P/J, I wouldn't think that would be a big problem, but Jimmy would obviously be the source for that.

thanks that's true your thing about the "extension" of the E String.. i really think an Alleva would the perfect bass to have 2 wonderful instruments with really different sound...

MMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmm You could ask. I asked Jimmy if he would ever make a PJ and he said no. As far as a 35 scale, Im banking that he will say no. Jimmy is really into Vintage style of basses. 35's and PJ are not really vintage. But hey Im not Jimmy and you could ask.

Love to show off mine. Love the A-C. I know his basses will take off.
I have the 70's placement pu and love it. To me its so 60's in alot of ways. Ain't that right KJUNG?
But I would not mind a P5 next on the list.

that make sense... i still got to try to make him do 5 strings P-bass though. and the vintage sound of Coppolo's his the sound i heard in my head for P-bass and J-bass
