Club Bordwell Part 2.

One of the many reasons I chose Cliff was his clear, demonstrable timeline and build process. After going through shenanigans with my Bee bass I didn't want such a hassle again.
If every luthier did what Cliff did, there would be no complaints in the custom bass world.

Speaking of that, I used my Bordwell on a gig finally. Words cannot describe, but this emoticon comes close:

Best. Bass. EVER. I already spec'd my second one, but unfortunately can't justify the cost right now. Hopefully soon...

I've had a little more time to play the bass, although wedding planning is certainly taking a decent amount of time.

I've had much more time to set it up and the action is nice and low. The B is great, naturally. I just need to intonate it and find a new strap so I can hang it at just the right height for me.

No real gripes, although the 26th fret gets in the way more than I thought for slap, although I'm honestly not huge into slap anyway.

The Audere and Nordstrand combo is killer. Without a doubt, this is probably my most versatile bass in my arsenal. The Bass Mute adds an incredible amount of vintage vibe.

Alright, even more time with my Rami 6. I've had to cut the gain from the LoZ mode considerably, but now I'm grabbing my misc basses to get the volume approximately close to the rest in my boosted LoZ mode. I definitely like the tone, but it was proving to be too much gain for my amp since the signal is even stronger than my Rob Allen basses! The action on mine is extremely low, too.

Anyone know of where I can get a Neuser bridge? I'd like to consider that for my fanned 7 string.

Hi,
does anybody know, why Cliff wants to put a hold on ordering new basses? Too many orders or developing some new ideas (thinking of this other thread about important things on a bass started by Cliff)?

Cheers,
Markus

Hello Bordwellians,

I don't remember which one of you have a nordstrand dc bridge pickup with a BS neck pickup.

Can you tell me more about your pickup combo please?

Can't tell you about the combo, but I'm loving the Nordstrand DV bridge pickup. I don't dislike the neck pickup, but sometimes a certain sound dominates the bass despite other available tones.

Also, I noted that the Audere Z modes were hot, but I was able to trim the volume to that of the standard active pre-amp volume.
