Today me and Cliff finalized the top fo rmy bass, here it is, a nice Koa top...

Is there anyone here who as a maple fretboard with oil finish from Cliff?

I would like to officially welcome nickbass79 to the club with his awesome amboyna ball bass 6. He is club member #32.

I am really loving the look of the back of the Big McNeely in this batch. Bocote and bloodwood are very good together.

I noticed that today. Very nice. I wonder if Cliff will do his version of a traditional type headstock for the P basses.

since most of you have an aguilar preamp.

What do you think of your obp-3?

Do you have any option that you like?

(active/passive bypass, passive tone control, etc...)

I think they sound great.... but are WAY noisier than my Audere preamp.

since the audere is so quiet!

I have chosen the nordstrand preamp but after reading so much good comments about the aguilar + there is almost no comments on the nordstrand

here, it made me doubt about my choice...

Don't get me wrong, the aguilar preamp sounds really really good. It just has a lot of hiss I think.

I have a Nordstrand 3-band pre in my Hanewinckel. It's a great preamp IMO. I'm pretty sure I posted a thread about it in the Pickups & Electronics forum if you want to do a search.
