That bass is gorgeous! It has confirmed my love of the D Bass body style, and as far as body woods go, walnut is the best there is, in my experience.
Looking forward to more updates on the new set of amazing builds. Gotta love the Kent Armstrong pickups.

As of right now, Cliff says there is just not enough interest in the JP designs to warrant putting them into production. It is kind of a shame, as the JP basses were great looking, and I'm sure, great sounding, feeling, and playing basses, but Cliff stays busy enough with his own work.
I would like to have Cliff build me a Lucci singlecut, if there is ever enough interest.

Congrats on the order. I have still yet to play a better feeling bass than the ball bass in my avatar, and all of Cliff's basses sound absoutely spectacular.
Do you have an estimated delivery date? If so, per BEADG's old numbering style, I can assign you a number, if you would like one.

I wanted to get a JP by CB, but I seemed to be the only one in the market. If anyone is interested, let me know! I wouldn't mind since I'll probably be ordering my #3 sometime early next year.
Sure, count me in please (although delivery is not till March 2010). I'm thinking of a Single cut, although I'm tempted by the Ball design too.
I haven't seen a CB with maple fingerboard yet. Maybe I'll go with that.

I was playing my walnut bodied, maple topped, wenge/maple/rosewood necked ball bass last night through my ibook and logic. So there are a lot of similarities there. I just thought this is a ridiculously good bass. I just love it.

Is there any information or explanation of how he attaches the neck to the body? I don't think I've seen anything like it.
Hey Kev, it's voodoo.
It looks like Cliff makes a cut out into the body and then glues the neck into the cut out section. Quite why it profiles like it does is a mystery but a happy one.
Kev have you showed your custom bass here as well? You need to update you profile and add your cutom bass!
