The wood combos look really nice, and the Big McNeely is really looking nice, I like the horn shape. They all look great.

Yes, it is wenge' with two thin maple stringers. I am really looking forward to having a bass with an all wenge' neck! It has been a long time since I had one like this.
I thought the neck wood would help bring out the sound of the hollowed out body.

I'm a big fan of this way of marking a lined fretless ever since i saw it on an old CT bass - and I'm determined to have something similar on my next build. Looks fantastic.

yeah, I'd like to hear that too. I've decided on a 32" six. Delivery early 2010.

I guess that makes mine due in 2 builds. Cliff e-mailed me recently and asked if I'd like 32" scale, but I declined since the shortened scale might make the 1/2 ramp and pickups a tad crowded.

I am usually not a fan of amboyna as I find it too busy, but that is just flabbergasting!

AWESOME JOB Cliff!!!

Unfortunately, right now my situation outside of bass is not being too nice to me bass wise. I had to indefinitely postpone my order with Cliff. However, I still LOVE my ball bass 4. I have never touched a better instrument. In a 4 string format, it is absolute perfection for me.

Thanks Nippes, I just saw the pic of my bass and I'm very pleased indeed.

According to UPS tracking it's on the truck "out for delivery" and I'm here at home, off work , waiting for it's arrival.

The bass has nylon tapewound strings on it and I can't wait to hear how it sounds.

I'll follow up with a report after I get it.

Yes, I looked into it. If you email Cliff he will hook you up with a bunch of pics along with the price. I won't post the price.... but it is crazy low! I wish I had the loot for it.

Alienation your bass turned out great! Please let us know what you think of it... that should help to hold me over until mine gets here
