Ok, so I've had #177 for around 4-5 months now, about 3 days after getting her, I submitted a review on Harmony Central.
And FINALLY, they have published it today!!!

I've had a look through Harmony Central and Bass Gear Review Archive, and there's a lack of Clement reviews out there!
Considering he's building #198, there's only 4 (one of them mine!!) on HC and NONE on BGRA!!
I've just added a review for #164 (lets hope its not another 4 months before they publish it!) and #177 on BGRA.
I personally feel that Tom went over and above the call of duty in building my 2 basses, so I'm trying to give a little back in any way I can and spread the word.
So c'mon chaps and chicks (if there are any
) get reviewing!!! It'll help people like me when I was looking 8 months ago, and that will hopefully help Tom!

Actually I know I sold basses to 2 women. I am pretty sure they both still have them but it has been awhile since I heard from them. Have a good day all doing lots of applying oil and poly today. Busy Busy...

Hey everybody, I'd just like to say my experience working with Tom on my Clement #193 has been a blast. I'm sure most of you already know he's a caring, meticulous, open-minded man with a great sense of humor. I've been looking for a shorter-scale 5 string to tune E-C for quite a while, but didn't find what I want. It's great to go custom and through someone as awesome as Tom. A true artist and a jolly good fellow! Thanks Tom, it is my fortune to know you!
Rough specs I can think of:
- Mahogany body
- Walnut top (I was given 3 options!)
- Maple neck
- Mac Ebony fingerboard
- 32" scale
- 28 frets
- 17mm spacing
- mandolin frets
- Nordstrand Dual Coil (parallel)
- Passive V/T controls
- Hipshot hardware
Don't have a cam, so I'll just post the beautiful (completed) pictures Tom graciously sent me:
I must say this bass is SPOT-ON what I wanted in terms of playability! The neck profile, the scale-length, and 7.5lb total weight contributed to ease of play when strapped. From 1st to 28th - a breeze! I might throw in an onboard preamp in the future to coax smoother sounds out of the bass. But meanwhile, I'm just gonna practice my ass off on this bass. Cheers all!

Thanks man you like a lot of my people were great to work with. One of my favorite combos Walnut top and Mahogany body with oil finish.
awesome basses coming around lately! I've been drowned out in various stress around here, sorry for going missing again.
But I agree totally with 3Notes above. I have been so satisfied with Tom and his work and the processes i've been back no less than eight times. To those curious, I've got six bases, sold a 35" fretless to have Tom replace it with a 34" instead, and I also am the proud owner of one of his guitars. the only reason I would part with ones of my Clements is to have Tom build me another one.
I'll get out those gig pictures

I own 6 of the 7 basses Tom has built for me, the first 6-string was 35", which I couldn't get used to, and I sold it and had Tom build me another one, more or less identical, with 34" scale length.
On my two last fretlesses I've got Piezo bridges, and on my 6-string i've got two humbuckers. the neck one I rarely use, so not much point
