WD, if that birdseye is wide enough for a top- well, all I can say is you better play a lottery- it COULD be your lucky day!
I love quilted maple myself but that birdseye is a-bloody-mazing!

Cant say I'm surprised, its hardly a "renewable resource".
But let me ask my father-in-law, his grandkids think he had dinosaurs as pets!
Never thought that it would be black either. Tom has given me a line to white fiber he uses. Perhaps that big old maple tree may yield a few choice sticks to fill the gaps??
Excuse all the posts but I could not help but search ebay and they are selling mastodon tusk on ebay. Who would of thought? Hmmmmm
