You can tell that that will be a stunningly beautiful fingerboard, and I'm sure, bass as a whole. I'm giddy as a schoolgirl too because my #248 is four basses away.... The anticipation has me woodshedding on my Pedulla and Rick, and playing more guitar than usual as well. Thanks for sharing the pics, it's great to get to watch a work of art come together.

Mmmmmm......

Tom is threatening to ship on August 5th.

I have been watching Tom's work here on TB for the last couple of years, and from the start, I began to imagine what my Clement would be like.

Here I am, on the cusp of realizing my imaginations, and I still can't quite believe it. Having a bass made for you, as opposed to walking into Guitar Center, or clicking BIN, is a very enjoyable and rewarding process. I'm grateful that Mr. Clement has put this opportunity within my reach.

Jby,
That's a beautifully bookmatched piece of wood for the body, it should be quite a fine bass! Santiago, your #246 must be close enough that you can taste it. Hopefully we get to see your progress photos as well.

Yep :D and it tastes delicious...

and with Tom threatening Jbyjb with shipping august 5th!? :hyper:

And btw of course you'll get all the progress pics right here, as soon as I get them ;)
:p and soundclips, as soon as I get it :smug:

Wow, that's simply beautiful. Once again, thanks for sharing the progress photos. I'm psyched to see what the Katalox looks like when my #248 build is under way. It's great to see what others are having done. Yeah Santiago, that's a hint lol. I want to see your bass #246 when the build starts too. I can live vicariously thorough you guys until I'm able to share pics of # 248 in progress.

I know I've been promising a video for ages, and it's still coming but I just wanted to say that I dropped some new pickups in my Clement and it's blown me away AGAIN, lol. First it had Nordstrand DCs, then Adler/Kent Armstrong soapbars, and now Bartolini P25CBCs which were what I actually wanted originally but chose the Nordstrand's so I could cop a similar sound to my first Clement (#170). The pickup hunt is officially over though I'll probably get a series/parallel/single switch in there for fun. It growled before but now it's just ridiculous! I love my Brubaker but since the swap, the Clement has been the one I reach for first :bassist:.

Mitchelville Maryland eh Kwesi? I grew up right outside the capitol Beltway in Silver Spring Maryland, and watching your review of the Fender Jazz & Clement Fretless on Youtube, could not help but wonder if you had a bit of the DC Go Go thing going on in your playing and liked it.

Mr. Walker,
I was wondering if you might be able to hook me up with a Club Clement Number. Thank You in advance!

~ Todd

Sure, I'll get you one tomorrow :-)
I'm sorry, life's been hectic and busy here lately.

As you might know, norway was haunted by a devastating tragedy a week ago, and on top of that, my best friend's daughter ended her life. So internet hasn't been my top priority for a few days. But things are returning to normal, so I will pick up the membership roster and update it tomorrow :-) There seems to be more than one new member, but I don't think we're passing 100 yet.... are we? :-)

Wow,
I'm sorry I hadn't noticed your location when I sent the request, and am so sorry for your own family's loss. I hope I didn't come of as insensitive, just a bit of cluelessness on my part. Thanks, & Take care.

Absolutely no problem at all, and no offense taken!! Just a bit of explanation for why I'm late with the roster :-)

The tragedy was our 9/11, I guess. A completely insane and evil attack on everything we stand for, but the support from around the world has been overwhelming.
