patience....... patience..........

Very nice! The logo on the upper horn looks sharp too! Seeing the progress on your bass makes me excited to share my own pics in the coming months. I look forward to seeing a nice oil finish on whichever piece of nice swamp ash ends up as the body for #248.

Thank you Mr. Walker for my Clement Club acceptance. Is it required that the member numbers remain sequential? I would love to be member #244, after my serial number, if possible. If not, no worries.

JBY

I would rather keep them sequential, cause otherwise I'm afraid it would get hard to maintain after a while. I must admit that I update these numbers once in a very long time, and I just go through the pages and add the new owners (you're a club member for life, even if you sell your instrument... I'm not removing anyone!) :D So please bear with me that I try to find the easiest way to handle it :-) But I'd be happy to include your build number in the membership list. :)

Enjoy #244!!! :hyper:

Thanks MrWalker. Much appreciated. My thoughts and prayers are with you, your friend and country during these tough personal and national tragedies.

Thank you, I appreciate your concern and care! I know it's been all over the news all over the world. It's quite unbelievable everything. Most of us know someone or someone who knows someone who lost a friend or a relative there. That's how small our nation is, really. Only 4 million people, and there were youngsters gathered from all over the country. The evil bastard knew how to strike as many of us as possible.

Fortunately he was delayed in traffic, so his main victim (our former Prime Minister Gro Harlem Brundtland) had just left the island, and most people had gone home from work. In the blocks that he bombed, there should have been 1600 people on duty. Fortunately at the time that the bomb went off, there were only 190 people there.

And another good circumstance... he had parked his bomb vehicle over an underground parking space. A lot of the force of the bomb went down there, and punched a hole in the parking garage 2-3 levels down. If it had been solid ground underneath, the blast would have done a lot more harm to the buildings.

but life goes on, and so does the Clement Club. Enjoy your build and the bass once it's done! :-) I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy all of mine! :D

Thank You Mr. Walker!

You're welcome, and enjoy your build process and the final result! :-)

Interesting that I hadn't heard.

Mr Walker,

First, my condolences to you & your friend's family over their personal loss and for the senseless violence perpetrated against your country's youth.

Next, a question, does Norway have the death penalty?

Well, while eagerly awating #248's spot in the build list I've selected a Myrtlewood top and Tom was kind enough to take the time to send me the below photo of a mockup of what the top will look like with my Katalox fingerboard.... I think it's breathtaking and imagine the finished product will blow my mind.:D

Hey Y'all

For some reason my subscriptions haven't been pinging me update notifications, so I've missed 2 pages of Clementness!

There's some stunning work on the bench here - The grain on #248 is gorgeous, the FB and Walnut headless 4 #244 is just 100% wow! Definitely will be looking at a FB with an interesting grain for my next Clem.

Mr Walker - condolences for your personal loss, as well as the insanity that was forced on your country. I cannot understand the mentality of the people that carry out these acts - Intolerance is intolerable!

There is no denying that it's beautiful, and surpasses the image I had in my head, when I ordered it. Now I just got to play this bass.
BTW, it's passive. Nordstrand MM4.2, Volume, series/parallel switch, and a Tonestyler variable low pass filter.
