Same here. Due to the mahogany body and the humbucking switch, mine doesn't have a zingy top end, which is generally fine with me. But I might try steels at some point.

By the way, I have asked for the String Poll and didn't say I'm using Labella 760FL, they do sound nice , but I'm curious to try roundwonds as well later on...

Mine's alder so I do get that zing with nickels, but not like my Jazz. The Decade is just pure butter. I guess I got the right color

I actually like it's looks, A LOT! And, I prefer maple's sound over RW slightly.

I'm thinking the person who ordered it wanted the same look as a Fender '57 RI, like the one in my AV: Two-tone 'burst, gold guard, maple board. Works for me!
