That pickguard looks great IMO
That low B with that neck pickup is going to rattle some fillings on people. Do not play that at Grandma's house!
Ok, I've asked before... does Lakland use the same pups on the 4s and the 5ers? Because it looks like they do, and the pup barely seems to span far enough to get the B and G strings, especially the bridge pup on the 5ers. It's not as evident in this pic, but it was in the NAMM pics.
More importantly, who can vouch for the bridge pup on the 5er from hands-on/ears-on experience?thanks guys
They have ChiSonics for the 5 string. They are different. The Chisonics have poles, and there are five in the five string version.

That's alright, at least I now feel better knowing that the pups are different and MADE for the 5ers. I should've known better than to fret over it..... like Dan would let a bass out w/ pups that don't work

If your going for a maple neck it should have black block inlays- it gives a better tone you know?
