Wow. Great responses. Thanks to all who watched the clip. I felt really off that night. It was about 83 degrees in that room
Because the AC went out. And the production crew wanted us to act there was a live audience. And it took five hours to track two songs. So thanks guys it means a lot that you all dig it!

Excellent playing Phillip! Your vocalist kills, and your parts fit perfectly in the song. One of the things I've always loved about my BN5 in the 13 years I've been playing it is that no matter what the temperature or humidity is the neck never moves. I've adjusted it exactly one time in all that time! The most stable neck on any bass I've ever owned hands down. Jim

I have to agree, as I believe it comes down to how they construct their necks, but more specifically their head stocks. it is built out of a continuous piece of wood...most other designer/builders glue their head on separately.
My AC6 neck is rock solid.!!! and I live in a true 4 season county with many weather extremes!

IN!!! My WHITE ASH TOP and and can't wait....

Hi everybody, I'd like to submit my entry to the club and get a number. I've had my BN5 now for a little over a year now. Custom ordered in 2012 from FretSpot.com (thank you Donovan!). Pretty standard specs...gloss brown burst finish on the body, maccassar ebony board, chrome hardware. The couple twists are white dot inlays and an extra light piece of swamp ash for the body (the bass weighs only about 8.5 lbs :bassist:)

I know I am preaching to the choir, but I am constantly blown away by how incredible it is. The construction and playability are unreal and the combination of the pickups and preamp are really versatile. I play a lot of styles but my main band is an original hard rock/metal group. Not the typical setting for an F bass (just a guess ;)) but the BN5 flat out kills. The bridge pickup with the mids dialed in can sound downright aggressive and has no trouble cutting through a dense mix of 2 guitars, keyboard, and a loud drummer. I've really come to appreciate how the bass, no matter what the setting, always seems to retain its voice.

Cheers to the F bass family for putting out such phenomenal instruments. Here's a photo from a recent gig.

Mike

I've had my BN5 for 10 years and still somehow love it more each time I play it. You're right, Mike, they are extremely versatile, and throughout that broad "sound range", you can't really get a bad sound. Mine weighs a tad over 10 lbs which, for me, seems to be an ash/maple sweet spot for strong fundamental and evenness of tone.
