My GFC5 is right in the comfy weight range. This bass is another tone monster as well.

Your photo got me curious...

All my life I couldn't care less what a bass weighed. To me, whatever a bass weighed was just part of the price I paid to have an amazing bass.

My priorities are:

#1: Tone
#2: Tone
#3: Playability
#4: Looks

That said, I'm now at an age and have had enough health challenges that I feel like if I can have all 4 of those AND a light bass... I'll take it!

That's probably why, when it comes to gigging SIX string basses, I find myself playing my Fbass BN6 Limited Edition Replica more and more:

For me, 9 pounds, 1 ounce is an extremely comfortable playing weight.
