How do T1 flats compare to Fbass strings in regards to tension? Has anyone played them both?
Thank you.I've tried both strings on both 34 and 34.5 inch F's
They feel very different on 34.5, really nice, less tension that the same strings on a 34
The F strings are pretty low tension, so by comparison the TI flats are going to feel higher tension
I use TI Jazz Flats on one of my AC6s, and Fbass strings on another. There is a big difference in tension, but I don't mind tension difference. To me it is just how different basses differ. How do T1 flats compare to Fbass strings in regards to tension? Has anyone played them both?
Do you agree with fire bass that the T1's feel like they have more tension than the Fbass strings?I use TI Jazz Flats on one of my AC6s, and Fbass strings on another. There is a big difference in tension, but I don't mind tension difference. To me it is just how different basses differ.
Sorry, I should have been clearer... no, I think the Fbass strings have more tension. The TI's are very soft.Do you agree with fire bass that the T1's feel like they have more tension than the Fbass strings?
I love where the front facing dots were placed.Marcel is so cool to work with for bulding a bass. He kindly sent me another picture from my Bn6 :

Good evening guys!
My "99" Bn5 has the same split Pbass pickups under the humbucker covers as your main fretted bass has. In many descriptions on the BNs' tone, the true humbuckers post "2000" models, are described as a "polite" Jazz sound. My BN5 is hardly "polite"! It has all the grind, growl as my "L" series Jazz Bass does. Is this one of the reasons you still prefer the older model for your fretted playing? JimThanks Randy, i promise i will ask him... I'll post the link to your answer as soon as the interview will be online...
Any other question?
