Beautiful!

Is it the one that was at Werock by any chance?
I’m also visiting South Korea currently, and saw it in person while trying to spot a P-Classic - beautiful bass. I used to have a J5, best sounding bass I ever had but unfortunately I couldn’t get along with the neck..

I’m also joining the club, managed to find a used P-Classic in Seoul. One note was all it took to know it was going home with me :hyper: I’m getting a mint pickguard from Moollon as well.

Yours looks killer! That's one of my favorite colors for Moollons, and I definitely would have been tempted to go with that if it was an option for leftys. Is it charcoal frost? When I reached out Andi said YJ was only doing Olympic White, Sonic Blue, Black, and Sunburst, I think. Good thing I love Oly White!

Thanks! Yep, that’s the “vintage” charcoal frost (he also had been doing a “dark” charcoal frost, as well, but I preferred the lighter version).
I’d done a pretty good job of forgetting about it for most of the wait time, but I have a feeling I’ll be counting the days until it arrives now!

I feel your pain, man! When was the last time you heard from Andi? I sent him an email in early June because I was just antsy, and he couldn't give me an exact date (not a surprise), but he at least let me know where YJ was in the sequence of orders. I'd say shoot him an email even though I feel bad adding to what I imagine is an overstuffed inbox.

I ordered in October 2020, myself. From what Andi had mentioned in an email, it sounds like they had a really big pile of orders from Aug-Sept ‘20 that YJ was working through for a good while. Hope you’re up soon!

For a moment there I was a bit in shock, afraid my order went missing or something. That was until I realised I put in my order May '21, not 20. :laugh:

Oh well, I've adjusted to the idea it won't arrive before the 2 year mark. Maybe I'll ask for an update around that time. In the meantime, congrats on those beauties!!

NBD! I mean, wow! I’ve had the bass in my hands for an hour and I completely “get it” now. I’ve never been so excited for a bass while simultaneously being worried that I wouldn’t connect with it. I’ve have plenty of basses that I enjoy playing, but it almost seems like this bass WANTS to be played as much as I’m enjoying playing it.

Also, in its own strangely poetic way, the wait involved in getting one of YJ’s basses ends up being one more special bit of mojo imbued in these instruments.
I’m gonna go head back to the woodshed, now :)
