Most relevant to this forum is that I will sell two of my four Moollons, my beloved Fiesta Red P4 and my Fiesta Red J4. This will leave me with my stripped P4 project bass I have yet completed, and my amazing Lake Placid Blue “56” P bass. Actually, regarding the Fiesta Red J, I’m still a little undecided about selling either it, or my 1988 Fender Fiesta Red AVRI J. I will put them each to the test in order to decide.
Less relevant to this club are the other basses I will be listing.

I will not be entertaining trades since the whole reason behind selling these basses is to fund the purchase of a vintage Fender or two. That said, in the unlikely event that someone has a fantastic 60-64 Jazz, I would be pleased to trade several of my basses for the Jazz Bass.

All of my basses are in beautiful but used condition, although some are near-mint, while the Moollons look more played-in on account of the thin nitro finish.

please PM me over the next few days if any of these basses have caught your ear. I would love to sell as much as possible before I list in the classifieds and Reverb. Price discussions at this point by PM only.

That's reaaaally long. I hope for you it's right around the corner.

I've been thinking of ordering a J IV lately, but I don't think it's going to be a Moollon again. Taking the price hikes and the multi year wait into account I'm not sure it's worth it.

I like to check-in on shipping status about every 6 months or so just to be sure production continues. I realize the wait may be three years, but it's good just to be sure things are moving along. With a one person production operation half way around the globe, anything can happen.

A big reason I hesitate to order a Noble pre/DI is that it appears that you pay in full up front for a 10 month delivery wait with production by a single individual. Stuff happens.

Both companies have a proven track record of reliability and impeccable customer service. I own both. I only would reach out to either of them if my order hadn’t arrived by the given delivery estimate.

While “things can happen,” you’d get your money back in the end should anything go wrong. With the reputation both men have built in the industry, they’ve got much on the line to screw anyone over.

As you say, they are a one-man operation, which also means emails are also on their table. (We know Andi fields YJ’s emails, but he then has to get in contact with YJ to answer those questions about build progress) The more emails you send, the more time they are away from their building table. Just my point of view.

I’m still enjoying the honeymoon phase with this P5. It’s a keeper. Might even snag another at some point. 1 rounds and 1 with flats

After 4 years of owning my Moollon P I'm still in the honeymoon phase. Doubt it will ever end. Just absolutely love the bass and if it wasn't a 3-4 year wait I'd order another one to have one with rounds and one with flats. The nitro finish has worn in so nice. A true relic that came from heavy use and time and just looks amazing. It just keeps getting better and that's probably what keeps the honeymoon phase going. Funny that when I got it even though Moollon was well established..not a lot of people outside of some fellow bass players knew what it was when I'd gig with it. It was still kind of a secret amongst the forums and boutique lovers. Now people come over to talk to me about it and drool over it. LOL

Cheers to the entire Moollon fam here and those that are patiently waiting to officially become part of it!!! Hang in there.
