Club Moollon

After almost 4 years of waiting my J-IV arrived last week.
Here it is next to my P-IV.

What flats are you JV owners using?

I am using TI’s and they are growing on me more after breaking them in a bit, but still feel like I’m missing that thump I am so used to with Pyramids. I have a set of Pyramids and the B is just thud. Curious about the LaBella LTF.

I think I found the perfect strings for my Moollon P. After a long while with TIs, loving the clarity but lacking a bit of lows and thump, I tried the Dunlops but they were too stiff for me. I finally tried some Labella's LTF and they're staying forever. It's the perfect P Bass tone IMO, and they feel amazing.

nice sound and playing. I am also a long time user of TI JF on Moollon Classic IV but I am thinking maybe our strings have worn out a bit too much. Although one keeps the tone closed all the way those highs (if present in the string at all) would give clarity. I have got some LaBella LTF to try and I thought they would sound good. THey are low tension but not so much at least for my test on an acoustic bass.
I also made up my mind the Olinto strings would sound good on a P but although I have them, I haven`t tried yet.

I tried 5 different flats then the labella ltf went on and theyre never coming off. ITs utter sonic bliss to me

Yup. They live on my PV exclusively.
