PM sent.I love how "wide" the pickups sound while still maintaining the passive growl. If you have any clips of your B524 or J-Classic V, please dm me. Trying to pour over as much content as possible.
Hi Joe,Help me out, Moollon brethren...
I'm 95% sure I want my next Moollon to be a five string. It's either going to be a P-Classic V or J-Classic V. Current stable is a Moollon P-Classic IV w/ flats and a Fender CS 64 Jazz with rounds...
The new Moollon will be wearing rounds for sure. My big dilemma is that I want to be able to get a solid slap tone for the rare time the gig calls for it, but I'm so enamored in the Moollon P tone. I can totally get behind 70's dance and funk tunes that featured a P Bass being slapped. But I also love the versatility of a jazz bass...
What do you guys think? I'd love to have both down the road, but that's not realistic for me.
...
I wonder why Scott has put his Moollon neck on his Fender CS body ?
2 hours of Moollon goodness. Not the best mix as it was off the board, and not mixed for recording specifically but to fill out the sound in the house, but there is some decent representation of the JV and P5 in here. If you're a Steely Dan fan....
Killer tone dude... Killer vocals as well !! This is a band I would watch the whole night at a gig..2 hours of Moollon goodness. The Dunlop flats really are fantastic. They're on my P-Classic now, and might just stay for a long time. They feel great and have a winning sound. I'll try the Pure Blues—I'm a loyal Nickel Lo-Riders guy for rounds, but these sound worth trying. The Wooten set would be my jam. I wonder what the primary difference would be?
Noticed a few small cracks on the fingerboard of my P-Classic the other day (see photos). Kinda surprising since it’s been a mild winter and I don’t take it into cold weather, etc.subbed on this, I have a P-Classic coming in Q3 and can't wait. From the picture this surely looks disturbing, like a problem waiting to happen. I'm guessing in DC you have enough humidity. I'll be interested to hear what Moollon has to say. Does anyone think this is cause for concern? Doesn’t bother me if it’s just cosmetic, but if this will lead to functional issues I’ll get it addressed.
By the way I use that Dunlop 02 on it about once a year.
Thanks!
