Help me out, Moollon brethren...
I'm 95% sure I want my next Moollon to be a five string. It's either going to be a P-Classic V or J-Classic V. Current stable is a Moollon P-Classic IV w/ flats and a Fender CS 64 Jazz with rounds. The Fender sounds significantly better with Flat's.
The new Moollon will be wearing rounds for sure. My big dilemma is that I want to be able to get a solid slap tone for the rare time the gig calls for it, but I'm so enamored in the Moollon P tone. I can totally get behind 70's dance and funk tunes that featured a P Bass being slapped. But I also love the versatility of a jazz bass...
What do you guys think? I'd love to have both down the road, but that's not realistic for me.
Btw, I know "what I like", but really value your input. This might be the most musically stacked "club" on talkbass.
