Really digging the B524. SO many options for usable tones in the bass. Keeps knocking me out and surprising me.
Kenny, the world needs more B524 clips/content! Would love to hear/see some recordings.
I'll see what I can do. Have some studio things as well as a live podcast. Need to figure out how to get that here.
I will say between the two pickups, individual volume controls and the 3-way switch there are a ton of usable tones in there.
Wasn't sure what to expect. Really favoring everything wide open withe the bridge pickup rolled back a tad.
Anyway, I'll see what I can finagle.
Brand unknown but it's a .047µF /630V film capacitor. Yellow.
do the basses still have your name written on it (serial number or something?) just wondering.
Mine has the serial number and my initials at the end.

That's correct, serial number and customer initials in oil-based fine-point marker have been standard for several years now, with those sold to retailers having just the serial number. If it's a legitimate Moollon but the SN is missing then it was most likely gifted...Like the heavily modded 3TS J-Classic IV on Reverb right now, although we honestly have no idea whose J-IV that originally was.
Also note that lovers of YJ's handwriting (and those who want their Moollon for life) can ask to have a "Built for _______" added to the SN upon request.

Yup, serial number and my initials written on the back of my Moollon headstock.
I also saw my initials written on the body inside of the neck pocket in the pics Andi sent during the build process, so I know both my neck and body have my initials.
I love it! Much like having a custom surfboard built with your name penciled on the stringer.
Interesting. Based on videos I was guessing that they used a smaller value than the typical .1 cap. I was thinking they might even use a 500k tone pot too. Their tone seems to me to be a slightly underwound pickup.

As on all builds (aside from recipient initials), date markings by YJ on neck pocket and neck hilt indicate when a completed piece was given his approval and placed on the rack in the shop. Here's an example from one of our frequent customers of what one could expect.
