Does anyone know since when and why Moollon switched from their own hard cases to gator cases?
Not sure when but probably some combination of cost and availability.

Just for the record, the Gator cases are very nice, lots of padding, neck cradling, and spots for holding straps, cords, etc. You will not be disappointed in the case. Not sure when but probably some combination of cost and availability.
Which Gator case are they using out of curiousity? I ordered this past May and didn't notice any info changing about a Gator case.Just for the record, the Gator cases are very nice, lots of padding, neck cradling, and spots for holding straps, cords, etc. You will not be disappointed in the case.

Yep, its the one JBHaugh refers to in his postWhich Gator case are they using out of curiousity? I ordered this past May and didn't notice any info changing about a Gator case.
Thanks for that. I'm not complaining or picky but if I'm getting a hard case I'd prefer it say Moollon since I'm not a huge fan of hard cases these days, I'm not out on the road gigging. My favorite bag is the Sadowsky Portabag and I'd be inclined to get one for my P IV Classic when my order is finished. I know the manufacturer of the bag is Access and they sell their own version of it too.pretty sure it's this one Gator GC-Bass Deluxe ABS Molded Electric Bass Guitar Case
As much as I think the Moollon cases are cool, I kinda don't want to advertise what's inside. The Gator case is quite nice.
haha just when the delivery man decides he wants to play bass

That's what I was going to say. I'd trade my "Moollon" case for the Gator with someone, as the Moollon-labeled case is only adequate. Full disclosure though, one of the latches brokeI promise you, you're not missing anything in the old cases. The Gator ones are objectively better. Progress.
Can anyone in the club answer these quick questions (which I’m sure have been asked before...)?
Beat way to order a Moollon from their site?
What’s the turnaround time?
Anything else to know about the purchase process?
I think you and YJ have chosen wisely. Jon Maghini shipped my custom P in a Gator gig bag and I actually love it! It is probably more protective than some HS cases I have encountered. I have 100% faith my future JV will be well protected by the GC.tl;dr The Gator GC-Bass model is both affordable and sturdy for normal use, and we'll likely stick with them.
