I hope so, in terms of jazz style basses I've owned Alleva, Valenti, Sadowsky and always preferred passive mode and a faithful vintage vibe so this should be a good fit for me. I'm also a big fan of Ebony boards.

I've been watching this thread and they are very beautiful instruments. I'm not knocking their basses per se..I never laid my hands on one, But if you're going to make a vintage-inspired instrument then modernize the neck heel, maybe the truss rod, but then ignore something as important as access to the truss rod...makes no sense.
It's a pain in the neck but you're buying a somewhat period correct instrument and that's how they did it.
