Okay, you've already heard my comments on your new bass but: SPECTACULAR!!! Possibly the nicest spalted maple top I've seen on a Sadowsky (or any bass, for that matter - since I'm pretty sure that the nicest spalts I've seen have been on Sadowskys). I'm so happy for you. The way you've budgeted and saved for the past few years just so you could get a Sadowsky, wow - your tenacity really is admirable. :bassist: Thanks to the folks at Sadowsky for making my friend such an incredible looking instrument!

What you said. AND the accent line bordering the spalt is a real nice finishing touch & an admirable detail in the spec. Well done bro.

It's been a helluva ride, that's for sure. Actually doing this has given me a whole new view on what's possible when you put your mind on something... And uh, aren't in a hurry ;)

Once it's here, I'm on my way over to your place. I may have to take a sick day or something...

Maybe I've been admiring too many MTDs or something, but I always think that a fancy top needs an accent line. Bursts notwithstanding, of course. I don't remember if the line was included in the Master Grade spalted top or if it was an up charge. If it was an up charge, I'd have paid it without thinking twice, so I guess it doesn't matter.

You may remember that I'd ordered it with abalone dots, but I ordered juuust as CITES started being enforced by the US. As the bass turned out, I don't think I'm going to miss them.

Edited to fix iPhone auto 'corrections.'
