Not sure. Cleaning cloth, I imagine. Kevin said he'd toss a packet of strings in because I couldn't decide on steel or nickel. Would it be listed somewhere in the final bill he emailed me?

I guess I should just go look, eh? ;)

EDIT: that was a legitimate 'eh,' not a Canadian cliché...

I got a comped strap and T-shirt. I bought a few other things (outboard preamp, power supply, flats, and pickguard and install for it) with the bass and planned on buying those as well. I thought it was rather nice they threw them in for free. I really like the strap, super comfy.

Edit: also comes with cleaning cloth and polish and various small bass tools, yours will also include strap locks and no telling what other things. I'm excited about buying another just because I feel they treated me so well. :)

The standard fare for a new Sadowsky, barring any extras Kevin throws in, is a polishing cloth, a bottle of Sadowsky Every Day polish, the strap ends for the Dunlop locks, a ball-end hex driver for the bridge saddles, and a drill blank for the truss rod adjuster. Sometimes they also throw in the fuzzy guitar stand protectors (for the old school guitar stands that have the surgical rubber tubing that's not so nice to nitro), but I think that might be over-with now, since non-nitro friendly stands should pretty much be a thing of the past at this point.

I think that's everything.

Not all the songs are uploaded. There are quite a few that we're going to re-record because those older songs were with older gear/recording equipment.

Hey, Bluesy, I've been listening to your tracks again. that PJ is really freakin' nice.
Also, "someday" has a nice, lush sound. That guitar's got a great voice to it.

You already know that I like that cover of "I Can't Explain," but I never said that the Sadowsky cuts nicely without needing to be too high in the mix.

But that Grosh sounds pretty deadly too, especially in "Born Under a Bad Sign." You have pics of it up anywhere?

Thanks for the kind words. I've been running into some software trouble and I can get the Sad PJ5 to be deadly but I think I've had some settings incorrectly selected - so I need to find what it is and turn it off!

I have the "Wings" song first cut with everybody's part and I need to work on my timing and turn off that wrong setting to make the PJ5 stand out more. It's what I call "OE"..."operator error". :p

I hear ya Fran. I also know how much you think of Rick Danko, another friend gone.
I put "The Last Waltz" in the DVD player tonight & put on the HD600s. It was so nice to hear some of the road tales again from these guys. Marty Scorsese did a fine job of giving us a piece of music history for the record. I keep forgetting that Levon & The Band was at Woodstock (Marty having had a hand in that chronicle also), because they weren't included on the movie footage. The Band ... the Weight 1969 @ woodstock live - YouTube - love this song.
It's always such a rewarding experience to stop & contemplate our roots in modern music I feel. There was a bunch of it at Woodstock for sure.

I haven't had a chance to talk to my father about Levon's passing. I'll go to my parents tomorrow and we'll watch The Last Waltz together. One of our all time favorite bands.
Now Rick and Levon can jam together again. :bassist:
