That is the stuff dreams are made of! The only thing that would make it better;

A: If it were a 5 string
B: No dots on that exquisite Birdseye Maple FB
C: If it were mine! :D

Congrats Bluesy!~ You spec'd a Killer Bass! Play it in the best of health.

HI

Groovy. I bought that bass brand new in '06. Killer J. Sold it to fund my 24/4. Wish I could have kept them both. Its feather light, neck is KILLER, sounds warm and punchy. Fretboard is also KILLER. Glad to see its back in the Northeast. I shall find where you live, hunt you down, and steal it very soon! Good luck and enjoy it. I know you will

Hey Rob,
I thought that looked familiar! ;)

Congrats on the P/J. Love the sonic and matching headstock! I admit to struggling a bit with the aesthetics of a P pickup in a J body, but it wouldn't keep me from a great bass.
Boy, there have been some nice looking Sadowskys for nice prices here lately. I'm still kicking myself for not buying Rob's fretless a few weeks ago!

I know many of you are going to disagree with me here, but how your solid-body electric bass sounds acoustically is unimportant almost to the point of being totally irrelevant. Either your bass sounds awesome on the gig or it doesn't. That's the test it needs to pass. "Clanky" unplugged? Who cares?

I'm quoting myself here to kind of say...what the hell was I thinking when I typed this? What I really meant to say is that what a bass sounds like acoustically isn't important to me within the context of how I personally evaluate a particular bass's tone, and that I am far more concerned with how the bass sounds on the gig. But certainly it's not "totally irrelevant."

Fortunately it is what Roger knows and not what I think that is behind the greatness of his basses. In fact what I don't know about what's important in actually making a great bass could fill a book. Or several. :o

Excuse me while I go and find some help in removing my foot from my mouth.

Awww, man. It IS perfect the way it is and it's all mine! :D

I had my first jam session with my new Sadowsky today. When you guys say these thing kill in the mix, you really meant it huh?

Out of all the basses I've ever played this was the first one my bandmates insist that I play from now on. It was funny really. We had to stop about 5 times going through our set because either my drummer or guitar player said "wait, you play that in this song, thats awesome!"

That said, I will be playing Sadowsky's for a long, long time. I am totally happy with this bass and i can't wait for my second to arrive.
