Club Sadowsky!!!

Here is my RV4. I am amazed with how consistant these basses tend to sound. I've had 5 now(2 NYC, 3 Metro), and all of them were terrific basses. I especially like how thick sounding they are up top. A lot of basses tend to thin out as you move up the fingerboard but the Sadowsky preamp has some magic to it!

My drummer pointed that out too me when I got my first. Now if only Roger would relent and make us a 6 string that had the same quality!!!!!

I did, good stuff. It's good to see him get some face time in the magazine. If its one thing Bass Player magazine needs its more Sadowsky pictures... even if it is Mr Roger.

I'll admit that I gave up on that magazine a few years back. It's not the mag it used to be. I guess I wouldn't mind picking the next issue up as a one-off...

Agreed. Out of 82 pages I counted 30 full page ads; that's only full page ads, not counting 1/2 or 3/4 or banner or groups of ads. I understand you've got to generate revenue to produce a magazine and I'm fine with the idea of using ads to do so... but the ads to content ratio is so far off its not cool.
I would like to at least see more pictures of basses if nothing else. More technical info on gear would be grand and more stories about working Joe's would be great too... but at least give us more pictures of basses.

There are still a couple of good ones, but they always seem to be from the UK. And I already spend too much on mags to toss $12 a month at an import.

I've continued to subscribe to BP simply because I want to support during these lean times, hoping it will improve at some point. The mag has gotten thinner and they are using recycled content and more "user generated" content.

But the 1 year subscription is $30, which I find completely ridiculous...they ran a deal for "new" subscribers for half that, so I just re-subscribed.
