I made a gig last saturday evening with my Sadowsky 5.
I get compliments from the sounds guys.
(about the sound, not about my playing !!!)

The video was compressed a lot, and the camera was not a pro one.
But even with this bad treatment, the bass sound is still here.
I us the low B at 2,25" a lot and do a short chorus at 5"
As you will see , we are not a proffesional band !

You guys sound good. Really dig the bass tone! It definitely sounds like a Sadowsky. Lightly compressed, modern, warm. Nice!

As a magazine buyer, though, I have to maximise my dollar's value. BP comes in on the wrong side of the price/performance fence for me.

Nice score. He thought highly of that bass.
He did, and still does. And while he does play that P more these days, there is still a J in his house, which he still very much loves, and no plans to part with. Trust me, I know.
In my case, I just have to decide if I want to "upgrade" to new/pristine or stick with my more played model. They both just completely kill, have the same exact options, just different color/condition. But longer term, there's no way I can keep both. Just can't justify it. So at some point, there will be a deal to be had. But I'm gonna' take a little time to decide.
Stopped by the Sadowsky shop today with a friend of mine who was having some work done on his Will Lee. Was pretty awesome getting to play all the basses there. Lisa helped my friend out and got everything fixed up free of charge! I was very impressed with the shop and the welcoming atmosphere. I'm very happy with my metro but definitely plan to get an NYC in the next year or two. Just need to decide what i want... Here are some pictures:
