Club Sadowsky!!!

Mike,

Sorry for the late reply, I've been out of town (and offline) for the last week.

You are #396.

By the way, the fingerboard on that bass is off the hook! I wanna see a few closeups when you get it.

I've owned a 4 string Will Lee for almost 2 years, finding a used 5 is impossible so I ordered my first new Sadowsky back in Jan. Kevin sent me some pics today. I am so stoked.

What do ya think?

It's probably time I humbly ask for a number too.

Well I got my first Sadowsky today. 2002 5 string vintage that came from a collector. I think he had it out of the case twice. not a scratch on it. Man does this thing sound great! I had one of those what took you so long dumb*ss moments.

Just curious - in general, how do you guys feel about Ash / Rosewood spec Sadowsky JJ's?

I know the more popular is the Ash/Maple & Alder/Rosewood... just wondering your thoughts and Ash/Rosewood combo?

I played this at the shop (sadly, it had a sold sign on it) and it killed! 9lbs, Ash, Madagascar Rosewood

Man, that looks nice! Think I might have to go with a black or maybe tort guard to mix things up a bit. Congrats!

Well guys I got the message from Kevin today telling me that I owe him my first born and he will ship next week. It all seems so worth it.

Introducing 6143, weighing in at a mere 8.17 lbs

It is hard to wait......ahhhhh

My WL4 is also CAO so needless to say, two big thumbs up from me. The pearl guard looks wicked too (I opted for black with a spare in tort...hmmmm).

I think its a great combo, I prefer the resonance of ash to that of alder. You can still brighten up the tone with the preamp, wont be punchy maple but crisply warm.
