Joker, are those Epifani 115's? They look like 15's.
and no, havent had time to take some glamour worthy shots of my new (now kinda beat up) v5, but soon!
Wow that angle makes them look a whole lot bigger.nope!
those are my ul112's. like a pair of trusty dobermans.

Isn't that against some kind of Club Sadowksky rule?!
I'm going nuts trying to decide the specs for a new fretless, but I think it may end up looking a lot like your bass...
Is it alder or ash?
haha,
it probably is, but i'll get around to it soon.
and might as well "spec" you:
- ash body
- ebony fingerboard
- nord fatstacks in 70s pickup placement
take the frets off and BAM, there's your fretless. haha. but i love the fatstacks in the 70s placement. admittedly, its not very jazz like anymore, but holycrap, like a smooth velvet sledge hammer.
and yea, mr. berns,
come to think of it, a pair of UL115's would be ridiculously nice!

You did the right thing, going with the Nordies !![]()
Thanks - I bet it's killer.
I've played 2 Sadowskys fretlesses and loved them both, even though they were at opposite ends of the spectrum. An ash/ebony/big singles 24F-5, and Bikeplate's old alder/rosewood/single coil Vintage 4 (that I should have bought...)
I think MY answer is in the middle somewhere. I'm leaning to alder and ebony, and 60s J pickup positions. The only questions left are pickups and body style.
I really love Big Singles, but do have them in my 2 Sadowskys already. The Fat Stacks sound like an interesting pickup, I'll take a look at them.
Does Sadowsky do a full size Jazz body in a 5 string? I think no but would be happy to be wrong.
I've given myself the weekend to finalize this all in my head then the order's going in. I've agonized over this long enough! The great thing is, no matter what I decide I'm sure I'm going to be happy with it.
wow
tough call. from what i've been told, the fatstack / big single perceptions are similar to how people perceive the sadowsky humbucker / sadowsky single coil sound if that makes any sense.
I know I won't be a member until I get it in my hands but can I post progress pics?![]()

I'm very excited.
It will also have a birdseye maple board with no face dots and black hardware.
