I took my new 24-5 out for its first gig last night. Restaurant gig with only keys, bass and singer. R&B and loungy pop. It's always a "moment of truth" gigging a bass for the first time. What sounds good in the living room or showroom doesn't always cut it on stage. Granted, this was a bare-bones line up, with no drums or guitar, but still, I've played basses that didn't work so well in this kind of environment. Turns out the modern fit the bill perfectly. I love how articulate this bass is across the spectrum - from the lowest notes on the B to the upper register. A total blast to play.
