At times, and I'm not saying this is the case with all shows like that ( the AMA's did this for a bit- don't know if they still do), but the band will rehearse in the week prior, then they will track the band live on the stage sans vocals, then for the actual show, they will sync to their performance tack but with live vocals.

But, if we have one thing to thank Ashley Simpson for, is now most performers will play live on shows.

Agreed. I will say that yesterday I listened to Craig Garfinkel's youtube and was very impressed with the tone of his ash/ebony VJ5 as Ted mentioned.

Man Craig, you've got some chops dude... very articulate and tasteful. :bassist:

Hi Everyone. Got a quick question. How much would you pay for a Sadowsky with the following specs

NYC 5 - P/J config. - P pickups are the newer Nordstrands
- J pickup is the standard Sadowsky Pickup

Brazilian Rosewood on Maple Fretboard and Alder Body.
Pearloid Pickguard
VTC
Matching headstock.
Approx 15 months old.

In perfect condition with a hairline scratch that's unnoticable.

$2400 to $2800....They might ask for more but likely won't get it in this market. I would offer about $2600 (granted I haven't seen it I am assuming some things here)

Such as...how old is it? What does it look like? What color is it? What kind of shape is it in visually? Does it come with the other Saodwsky or the other Nordy PUP? Was it originally built with mismatched PUPS? Those are just a few that come to mind....I like to at least see a bass before I give an estimate of value but I stand by my statement based on having bought and sold more Sadowskys than probably anyone else ever has except for Roger Sadowsky himself. I am on number 28 right now...

I think you're paying a fair price for that Sadowsky.. I contacted Sadowsky about that particular bass and I thought both pickups were Nordstrands, but I could be wrong..The Brazilian board, matching headstock and pearloid guard are all extra...Also there may have been an up-charge for no face dots on that bass...

Cool. i mentioned most of the things in my first post but allow me to reiterate please.

Its custom candy red, Vintage, Its a Nordy P (the one with angled poles)
