I love those "Modern" basses, they have a great tight low end with an amazing mid punch. 
Great looking fretboard on that one!
Asterope are incredible. Be sure you get the gray "bass" cables from the custom shop though. The standard version are designed for most anything.

I just ordered a Spectraflex 14' Standard Series yesterday directly from their website for gigging when I don't use wireless. I bought one of their Original Series 10' cables last week from my local shop to use for my P&W gigs since I'm plugging into a DI box which is practically at my feet.
I was tempted to go for a Fatso Flex (for extra durability) or G-Flex (since I like G&H plugs), but went with Standard instead. I like that they offer a 14' length for normal gigs. 10' is too short, and once you get to 15, 18, or 20 ft, it's too long. I also prefer their braided jackets instead of the basic black PVC.

I am planning on selling reverse (universal route) PJ5 #3802. I don't need a PJ5 like I did when I bought it several years ago. It is the best PJ I have ever played. It has normal playing wear on the frets, finish, headstock, etc. There is one ding in the finish but it's on the bottom/back of the bass and I am posting a pic of it. But it's in great condition and very beautiful. The P pickup in it now is a custom wound P pickup That was wound to Roger's specs. I also have the Sadowsky pickup that originally came with the Bass and will ship it with the bass. I think the original is a nordy. It also has a drop tuner on the B string for the rare times when you need to get to Ab or A. I have the original tuner that will be shipped with the bass. The coolest thing is you can have Roger make you a pickguard for the traditional P configuration if you want. (When I bought it there was a tort pickguard for the traditional P configuration but i cant find it for the life of me) I personally like the reverse P configuration. The reason I am putting it here before the classifieds is because some of the ppl in this club said they wanted first shot if I ever sold it and I can't remember who all it was. I am an upgraded member of TB so I think this is legal. If you are one of the ones who said I want first shot please PM me for details.

Keep your spectraflex packaging. They have a lifeime warranty and absolutely replace the cables if they go bad. I’ve used that feature twice.
Is there any difference between the Fatso and Baldee other than the braided covering?
I've never used either, so I'd only be going by their marketing material. One difference is the Fatso costs ~ 2x as much.

Back on Sadowsky topic, when is the shop expecting their next batch of Metros in-store? I passed on a Modern M4-24 that's in my local shop since it was a little too NOS for my liking. As soon as they get some more inventory, I'll be crossing the Hudson into NYC. Maybe grab a Portabag, too, unless they're drop-shipped from a warehouse somewhere. (btw, Roger & Peter were both very helpful - and prompt - with several email exchanges)
I guess it wouldn't be a bad idea to subscribe to their mailing list!

Please forgive my overplaying and silly bass faces, but I'm just so excited by this bass. There's no effects or compression, I'm just running straight into a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 box.
The ONLY thing I didn't like was that it came with steel strings on it. That's not a knock against Sadowsky strings, those are really high quality strings. I just don't like steel strings from any brand. I think they sound too harsh and they are abrasive to my fingers.
Today during lunch I swapped out the steels for some nickel wounds and what a difference! It sounds warm and buttery and has much more of a mid presence. This bass punches like Conor McGregor!
I'm loving the finish, it's an ash body - which from what I understand is unusual with the rosewood boards, they are usually alder. It has a very slight translucence to the finish so you can see the wood beneath if you look close.
It's just a very top notch instrument and everything about it is on point. It will be fun to spend the weekend getting to know her better.
