Just put down my deposit for a Verdine 5!!! I'm going with Olive Green Metallic and Morado board. So stoked!!! The scary thing is, my first Satin order isn't even done yet and I'm already ordering my second.

The Olive color that we use is really nice. It's honestly my favorite satin finish.
When I first saw it a few months ago I spoke with Peter about possibly changing my current order... I ended up sticking with the Sage Green Metallic though.
IMO - Sage Green just begs for a pearloid pickguard (I chose black pearl). The Olive will look killer with no PG against the chrome hardware and black knobs and pups..
Dudes, I am very interested in the new Sadowsky Super J pickups. Any feedback on them yet?
The effects seemed more subtle than I expected... at least in a NAMM environment. I left with the sense as a live gigging bassist, I'd probably just stick with the regular J pickups, but if I was a studio recording musician with a penchant for nuance, I'd get them. FWIW anyway.

You have no idea how much drooling I have done over the recently sold pictures.
I've been using them in my NYC WL5 for the past year. Being able to select either 60s or 70s position for the bridge pup (or both together) substantially broadens the tonal palette. Well worth the upcharge, IMHO, if you're gonna get JJ electronics.

I do! I used to look at it all the time before i worked here. Such a great resource. I’m glad our developer could get the files back up.
I got to play a Singlecut or Chip Shearin Sig (don’t remember which) with a Super J in the bridge at NAMM 2017 and could definitely hear a difference between the two coil’s positions. It may or may not be obvious to different people’s ears and that could be dependent on a variety of factors, but I loved the Super J’s sounds and options so much that I’m having one put in the bridge position of my current NYC build.
Is there really factual evidence that monster cables ruin an input jack?
I mean, does anyone have a pic with a digital caliper (I don't own a digital caliper) to show the difference in circumference between the thickness of the plug campared to other cable manufacturers? (I am not a Monster cable endorser, but I own two, as well as a slew of others... full disclosure)
I own several different cables , but the plugs seem to be same size, by eyeball.
Even if the Monster is a millimeter or two thicker, how would that warp the spring tongs on your input jack, thereby ruining it? It is kind of a spring after all.

I dont have a set of calipers, but I had a couple monster cables in the 90’s that I occasionally used. They were VERY hard to remove from the jack, so I stopped using them bc of the risk of pulling the jack out. Another aspect of them that I really hated was their rigidiy which made it difficult to coil and store them. Never heard a sonic difference between them and other decent cables, but dont doubt that someone with an oscilliscope could probably make the argument that they were better shielded and they passed signal better than many cables. Standing on stage with them was a bother as well. Their tendency not to lay flat, caused a tripping hazard with those large rigid coils next to my feet.
Just want to chime in that switching between the coils of the Super J bridge pickup on my WL5 is not _just_ noticeable. It really does alter the instrument's voice, in the way you'd expect. And all three switch positions ('60s, '70s, and both) are musical, and usable.
