Has it gone through the sanding process, yet?
Not sure... It should be done these next couple weeks or so I'd think.. I got the impression from Peter it's not gonna be much longer!
Man, that looks so nice! Tort pickguards work so well with black and Maple.View attachment 3013735 I got the tort PG on #4444.
Great choice, the white pickguard looks good too but this one really sets it off and takes it to another level. reminds me of some of the pickguards on the Will Lee models.
Man I'm still discovering new things about the Sadowsky Modern bass.
The newest discovery is that it's got an AMAZING tone for metal and hard rock. It may be obvious that this is definitely not the style of music I normally play, but the tone alone inspires me to give it a try:
There's no effects or compression, it's just a little boosted Treble and VTC. All fingers, no picks were harmed in the making of this.
Honestly, I don't know why you don't see the Modern in more hard rock and metal bands. I could definitely see Justin Chancellor or Tim Commerford playing one of these - maybe even Geddy.
Did my first gig with the MetroExpress last night and the bass was a hit! Listening back to gig audio confirms it, guitarist liked it a lot! Finally did that review now that I have home+rehearsal+gig experience with the bass!
Jason Newsted has a few models of the modern plus 1 vintage 5 with the newer Sadowsky soapbars. His older basses have EMG 40Js, and J single coils

Nice! I had seen him with the Vintage series, but I've never seen him with the Modern versions before.
And they're waterproof!!!![]()
When I was finishing up my baccalaureate degree, I knew I wanted to do something very special to commemorate this life milestone, so I talked to Roger about ordering a Modern 5 with a completion date close to when I would graduate.
