Club Sadowsky!!!

The tone was amazing so clear and the grid I was getting was cutting through the mix as well as the snow storm! :D

Cool pic! We were wumped on in Detroit also. I'm off this weekend, but have the F1/410UL/MV with Blue Labels wumpin' in the basement today!

I'm gonna be in the market for a new jazz style bass very soon and I have been looking a lot at sadowsky. I want to get a four string jazz style bass but something higher end than fender. I can't try out many basses as the nearest guitar shop is two hours away and it's GC. I'm looking for something that can get kind of a modern vintagey tone but can also cut through the mix and still be crunchy and low.

I was hoping y'all who are so wise in the ways of sadowsky could lend me your opinions on what kind of pickups and bass to get. I know I want it to look like the quilted maple transparent red jazz style on the first page, but with a white pearloid pickguard.

Currently I have an ampeg 410HE and I'm really leaning towards the new acoustic b600 for my head. Any suggestions would be really appreciated.

It would be really helpful if you filled out your profile. It will allow guys to get a better sense of your previous equipment, experience and even maybe someone that may be close to you and willing to allow you to audition their equipment;)

Well my first bass was a starter squier p pack, but about a year ago I made myself a p/j bass(I had about 6 years of guitar luthier experience at the time). It had seymour duncan qps, and all top end hardware and wood, but I wired it passively. I've played bass for about 6 years not including four years of upright in high school. I live in Mt. Vernon, Texas which is about thirty minutes from sulphur springs.

All you guys coming here to sunny California for NAMM are in for a real treat this coming week. We are having unseasonable WARM weather. It was just over 80 today and it is supposed to be like this nearly all week. Sweet! Don't bother bringing warm clothing!

I am sooo bummed that I am not able to go this year to NAMM!!! I've gone the last 4 years and had a blast!

Coming off of 12" of snow, and looking at -2 F next week here in Ohio, that sounds pretty darned nice. :cool:

Is that club Boston's still there?? I used to live in Davie back in the 80's and played all the Banana Boats up and down the coast. I remember that club. It brought me back home!

I hope not. Sadowskys in the Canadian equivalent of GC? Tom Lee has Sadowskys in Vancouver- no? I believe Club Bass has been the main Canadian dealer for a long time. Dave does a great job.

Ha! Yeah I know! I was in Manhattan today wearing a short sleeve shirt!!! I drove up about 2:00 this afternoon. Dropped off a bass and had made plans to stay and check out the Sadowsky shop and a few more stops tomorrow. Got a phone call from my daughter and turned around and drove back home....851 miles roundtrip! I rolled back in about 30 minutes ago so call it....12 miles north of the North Carolina line to 48th and Lexington and back in about 14 hours! I think I could have driven to Florida to get back to her if I had to! She is OK just sick and did not feel good. The creeping crud is going around here. My dad has Strept throat and I have a bit of a sinus infection coming I think...At least I am out of the cold!!!!! I forgot to even take a jacket and nearly froze my tush off every time I had to Gas up. (3 times!!) Thank God gas is back to about $1.67 between here and there. I think I spent like $72 in Gas and I have nearly a half a tank left!!! On a Jeep Grand Cherokee....cruising down the road to make that kind of time! I was in the city maybe 90 minutes total and the rest was riding...Glad to be warm and glad to be back home...Wish I could have gotten to the Sadowsky shop though!!! I REALLY need another 5! Thinking about an RV5 or Standard 5 with Rosewood...Haven't decided on color. Anyone want to fuel the fire?
